Soldiers guard our lives day and night but never ask for anything in return. They remain absent from the lives of their families so that they are present for the nation and its people. Hence, they deserve all the love in this world.
Akshay Kumar has never failed in showing his respect for the Indian soldiers through his movies. He recently donated money to the families of CRPF jawans who were killed in an encounter with Naxalites in Sukma. But this time, he took his efforts one level higher.
He suggested an application and web portal through which any person can donate money to the families of martyred Indian soldiers. He got this idea after watching a documentary. The video message he recorded, went viral on all social networking sites. It got the government approval in very few days. He thanked the government for fulfilling his dream.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister of State Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju recently launched the site “Bharat ke Veer”. Speaking on the occasion, Rajnath Singh said that not just the government but every citizen of India is accountable to support the families of the brave-hearts. He appreciated Akshay Kumar for contributing his ideas and the efforts he put in.
How does it work for soldiers?
The site allows a person to monetarily support the brave-heart of his/her choice. The portal will show the details of the soldier and the bank account number of any of his family members. A limit of 15 lakh rupees is imposed, after which the donor would be given an alert to divert that exceeding amount to another brave-heart’s account. Another option is to submit that amount to “Bharat ke Veer” corpus.
This site will not only provide financial aid to the soldiers’ families but will show that the nation loves them and they are not alone.
